€50M ASENSIO BID REJECTED

 
Liverpool have had a €50 million (£42m) bid for Real Madrid star Marco Asensio rejected, according to AS.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is seen as a key part of Zinedine Zidane's plans going forward and Madrid's stance is that he is not for sale this summer.

LIVERPOOL EYE LACAZETTE

 
Liverpool remain admirers of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette but face competition to sign him this summer, according to RMC Sport.

The Reds have been monitoring the Frenchman for some time now but Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid would also be interested should be made available for a transfer.

£30M PRICE TAG ON SAKHO

 
Liverpool are demanding £30 million in any permanent deal for out-of-favour defender Mamadou Sakho, according to Sky Sports.

The Frenchman has impressed while on loan at Crystal Palace and while he has no future at Anfield, the Reds hope to capitalise on his return to form by cashing in this summer.

REDS BATTLE BAYERN FOR PULISIC

 
Liverpool will battle Bayern Munich to sign Borussia Dortmund starlet Christian Pulisic this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

Tottenham are also interested in the 18-year-old American but Dortmund are reluctant to sell, and Pulisic is happy to stay at a club at which he receives plenty of first-team opportunities.

CAN NEGOTIATIONS DRAG ON

 
Liverpool will continue to play Emre Can even if he has not signed a new contract when he enters the final year of his existing terms, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Can's deal expires in 2018 and negotiations remain ongoing, but there is a chance he will enter the 2017-18 campaign without a renewal.

ARSENAL ENTER VAN DIJK RACE

 

Arsenal have entered the race for Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk as part of their switch to a back three, according to the Daily Mirror.

Chelsea are in pole position to sign the Dutchman and Liverpool, Manchester City and Everton are also keen, with the Saints pricing the centre-back at £50 million.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has sanctioned a £20 million move for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, reports The Sun.

The England international is currently taking in a season-long loan at Serie A side Torino, but is looking to return to the Premier League next in 2017-18.
