Manchester United FC team news: Predicted XI to face Celta Vigo in the Europa League

Manchester United have four players back for their Europa League semi-final first leg at Celta Vigo on Thursday.

Our writers have picked their team for the tie and you can select yours below.

Eric Bailly's availability is a significant lift for the United squad and his axis with Daley Blind should continue. Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are too rusty to start, so Matteo Darmian is the obvious choice at left-back.

Paul Pogba was protected especially for Celta and has to start beside Ander Herrera. Juan Mata has usually enhanced United's attack this season and would be a worthy starter after resuming full training.

Anthony Martial was probably United's best attacker at Swansea and should continue on the flank. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is United's Europa League specialist and is a must while Marcus Rashford is the obvious centre forward.

It is a boost for United that Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are fit enough to travel, but this is a huge game and to throw them in immediately would be a big risk - especially when Eric Bailly and Daley Blind have performed well.

However, Matteo Darmian is not a left back. Neither is Ashley Young by trade, but he looks more natural at the position than the Italian and should start.
